A Path to Health

You may or may not have started on your path to health with tangible actions yet, but just the fact that you're thinking about it can be considered a first step. You want to happen: Better Health. You've realized the things that are not supporting your body need to "die" off so to speak as new support is introduced.1.


One of those things that need to die off is self sabotage. Talking to yourself instead of being mindful of your thoughts is self sabotage. Wrong thoughts will set you up for failure. One of the first things that comes to mind when I am asked to help someone with their health is 'let's discuss your thoughts about health first'. This offers so much insight as to why someone is walking in dis-ease. Helping to remove disbelieving, self sabotage thoughts such as "well, I've always been this way." "it's in my family." "I've done X, Y, Z and it didn't help." is the first step in creating healthy boundaries because those thoughts have not and are not doing you any good. Let them die right there and walk away. In fact, there is much research how your thoughts effect your health being done right now.




Another thought that comes to mind is, we have to look at whatever blockages are present and work on removing them too because if we don't, we can end up with a lot of muck gumming up the way.


You see, there is a drain pipe in you body called the colon whose function is to drain waste from the body, if the drain is clogged, not only will waste not be eliminated, but when you try to flush the toilet, the drain backs up and spills over causing dis-ease in the body.


Now you might be wondering why I am starting with these two paths to health and I understand the second is not necessarily a topic we typically want to talk about, yet we need to keep the paths clear and the pipes open. Keeping the paths clear is important to help eliminate inflammation & toxins, increase immune system function and improve overall gut health.


I love that our Father added plants to our world to bring us healing, without them we would not have many of the over the counter or prescriptions most often reached for in our time of need. With that said, my first to reach for is always plant or derivatives of the actual plant such as tinctures, teas, or essential oils. While in my later 20's I began learning about the powerful effects plants can play in supporting our bodies and boy let me tell ya, with all the research that is continuously being done today, there is no doubt I will always turn to plants first. In fact I will add them to my life daily so I can be supported before the dreadful happens, whatever the dreadful is because I don't fear that anymore.


Back to cleaning the pipes, there are a number of products on the market to help with cleaning the pipes, here's a couple of my favorites that you can check out to help get things flowing smoothly.


I believe the food consumed also helps with this eliminating potential we need to have everyday. The saying "We are what we eat.", is more true than you realize. We can feed ourselves life giving foods or death causing foods. The choice is ours that we get to make each and every time our hand goes to our mouth with that morsel of deliciousness. I will always encourage you to choose life.
