Chicken Alfredo with Lemon, Basil & Onions

With the new year in swing, our busy lives just

don't let up. Here's an easy recipe that's sure to be a crowd pleaser. 


Gluten Free


3 Chicken breasts, boneless skinless

2 tbsp Olive oil

1/4 tsp Basil, dried

2 cloves Garlic

2 cups Chicken broth

1 cup heavy cream

2 cups penne pasta or any bite-sized shape pasta, uncooked

2 cups grated parmesan cheese

3/4 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

2oz cream cheese 

Gluten Free French Fried Onions (garnish)



In a large skillet, over medium-high heat add chicken and sauté for 2-3 minutes or until chicken starts to lightly brown. Add in garlic and sauté for another minute.

Add chicken broth, cream, pasta and basil and mix to combine. Bring to a boil, then cover pan and reduce to a summer. Let simmer for 10-15 minutes or until pasta is fully cooked.

Remove from heat and add parmesan cheese, mozzarella and cream cheese and stir until cheese is melted and fully mixed in.


We like our Chicken Alfredo extra saucy  with a touch of lemon and basil, so while the chicken, pasta and cream are cooking, I mix up a little extra. I already have all the ingredients, so its easy.


1/2 tsp minsed Garlic

1 tsp Garlic powder

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1 drop Basil Essential Oil

2 drops Lemon Essential Oil

1/4 tsp Pepper or 1 drop Black Pepper Essential Oil

1/4 tsp Salt

1/2 cup Butter

4 oz Cream cheese

1 pint Heavy whipping cream

1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated


Pour this over chicken, pasta mixture and top with some crunched up French Fried Onions and enjoy!
