Have you ever thought of using a flower tea as a part of your margarita? Depending on the flower used you could get some real jazzy flavors. Not only that but there are terrific health benefits and flavors that when combined with triple sec or Cointreau give a new taste sensation.
Here's our basic recipe where you can change up the flower you use to satisfy your taste.
2 parts Tequila
1 part triple sec or Cointreau
1/2 part frozen lime concentrate pre mixed
1/2 part flower tea such as hibiscus, osmanthus, Jasmine, rose, amarant, etc...
For the tea;
1 cup boiling water
3 tablespoons of your favorite flower
Either in a blender or in a shaker, combine tequila, triple sec or Cointreau, lime mix, and tea.
Serve in a salted rim margarita glass and enjoy.
