Back to School

Can you believe it's back to school time of year again? It probably looks quite different than from times past but with these tools at the ready you and your kids will be empowered and ready for anything.

You can focus on a variety of aspects of going back to school, from ideas for healthy school lunches to ways to help kids focus while doing homework. Feel free to use the recipes linked below, or to mix in your own ideas. Whatever you decide, this is definitely a class that would be great hands-on. Choose a recipe to make as a class, have your diffuser going, and be open to discussion and new ideas. Breakfast idea:

A healthy breakfast each morning can help ensure that your child has enough energy to get through the day. Give our IQ Mega® French Toast a try. Healthy lunch recipes:

Make sure that kids are getting the nutrients they need in these simple lunch ideas you can make at home.

  1. Wild Orange Peanut Butter Sandwich (just add WO to your PB)

  2. Cinnamon Apple Chips

  3. Cinnamon PB and Granola Sandwich

  4. Lemon Kale Chips

  5. Tangerine Fruit Dip (add Tangerine & honey to taste to plain yogurt)

Immune-supporting oils and ideas:

Some essential oils that are specifically used for periodic immune support* are: Wild Orange, doTERRA On Guard®, Thyme, and Lemon. You can diffuse these oils, put them on the bottom of your child’s feet, or put them in their water. You can also make the cleansing hand gel linked below to keep in your child’s backpack or add a bottle of Hand Sanitizer to your order to be prepared. Cleansing Hand Gel (with doTERRA On Guard®) Homework time:

Having the diffuser nearby is always a good idea. Nicole Stevens, MSc states, “Aromatherapy is an excellent way to enjoy the benefits of essential oil without the worry of skin reactions. Inhaled oils have long been studied for their ability to enhance feelings of relaxation, encouragement, excitement, focus, and well-being. Additionally, diffused oils may support a healthier indoor environment. That’s always a bonus when you’ve got a houseful of kids.” What should you diffuse? It depends on what your child needs. If they’ve had a long day at school and emotions are high, Vetiver can help calm them. Peppermint, is great for those low-energy days. You can also diffuse Peppermint with Frankincense and Wild Orange for added effect. Some oils that you can put directly on your child’s neck include PastTense® and InTune®. PastTense can help ease stressful feelings and InTune can help sustain a sense of focus.

The Finish:

Finish out your class, as always, by thanking your attendees. You can share your doTERRA story at this time, and state that if anyone has questions, or is interested in doing the business with you to come talk to you after the class.

You can empower everyone when you order your Kids Collection along with Thinker, InTune and Motivate at 15% off. How cool is that!
